Een drukke draagweek, met workshops en consulten en verhuur, duidelijke tekenen dat er vakantie aankomt en dat mensen de weg gevonden hebben. We kozen deze week dan ook een drager van bij ons, uit een luchtige zomerse linnen stof, de Heiwa van Tilia designs.
Dit draagmerk biedt een stijlvolle look gecombineerd met duurzame materialen en gebruiksgemak.
De Heiwa, wat staat voor 'rust - harmonie - thuiskomen', is in essentie een schortmodel fullbuckle drager die je dus omdoet als een schortje, maar er bestaat ook een versie waarbij de tailleband niet met een gesp maar met ringen sluit.
Volgens de site is de drager geschikt voor een kindje vanaf 56 tot maat 98, maar in de praktijk vraagt het wel wat kennis en kunde om een kindje met maat 56 er passend in te krijgen, maat 62 is eerder maatstaf. Ook de bovenmaat is ruim, met pop maat 74/80 is de ondersteuning maar net aan.
De drager kan verkleind worden door middel van een koordje aan de binnenkant van het rugpand, eventueel met omslaan van de tailleband om wat in te korten. De tailleband zelf is niet gevoerd. Ook de schouderbanden zijn niet gevoerd en draperen tamelijk breed, maar comfortabel over de schouders en rug. Met het bijgeleverde bandje kan er eventueel voor gekozen worden om de banden recht te dragen in plaats van gekruist, of later voor rugdragen.
Wat vinden we er zelf van? Eerste wat opvalt aan de drager is de eenvoud en de nette afwerking, al ontbreken er een paar veiligheidstikses zoals de locknaad binnenin en de topstitch. Het koordje om te verkleinen is tamelijk robuust en nogal erg aanwezig ter hoogte van de billetjes en zit op een beetje een vreemde hoogte. Dat en het ontbreken van coupenaden maken een mooie diepe zit moeilijk tot onmogelijk. Wanneer we de drager omslaan en verkleinen komen de aanhechtingspunten van de schouderbanden tamelijk kort op de beentjes waardoor het wat genepen zit. Gebruiken we hem zonder omslaan voor een groter kind, dan zit te legpadding niet meer ter hoogte van de beentjes. De drager heeft ook geen keurmerk, wat voor handgemaakte producten niet nodig is, maar daar is niets over te vinden op de site. De schouderbanden voelen wel comfortabel aan en de stof is luchtig en zacht.
